Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix, an organ located in the lower right side of the abdomen.
Cholecystitis is the inflammation of the cholecist (the "bile"), an organ located at the top right of the abdomen, below the anterior limb of the liver. Most often it is a copulation of biliary lithiasis (gallstones).

Who can do ...?
Appendicity - Anyone can make appendices, but children and people under the age of 30 are more likely.
Cholecystitis - Anyone can make cholecystitis, but females and those who consume many animal fats (high in cholesterol) are more exposed.
Colorectal cancer - Anyone
Hernia - Anyone
What to do?
Apendicity - Rather to see your doctor.
Cholecystitis - Avoid animal fats. When pain occurs, get back to your doctor as soon as possible.
Colorectal cancer - Rather to see your doctor.
Hernia - Let's get back to your doctor.
Treatment
Appendicitis - The only possible treatment is surgical.
Colecystitis - Laparoscopic Colecistectomy. Classical surgery through a skin incision remains an operation only when laparoscopic surgery is not possible.
Colo-rectal cancer - surgical and oncological (cytostatic).
Hernia - Just surgical.
How long does the operation last?
Appendicitis - Between 30 and 90 minutes after the disease stage.
Cholecystitis - Between 30 and 90 minutes for experienced surgeons.
Colorectal cancer - Between 60 and 240 minutes.
Hernia - Between 30 and 90 minutes.
How long does hospitalization last?
Appendicitis - Between 1-5 days, depending on the severity of the disease.
Cholecystitis - 1-2 days laparoscopic and 5-7 days classic.
Colorectal cancer - Between 3 (lapsoopic) and 10 days (classic).
Hernia - 1-5 days.
How Must I Abstain From Physical Exercise?
Appendicity - Depends on the surgical procedure, between 1 week (laparoscopic) and 4 weeks (classic).
Cholecystitis - Between 1 week (laparoscopic) and 4-6 weeks (classic).
Colorectal cancer - Depending on the surgical procedure between 2 (laparoscopic) and 6 (12) weeks (classic).
Hernia - Depending on the surgical procedure between 1-4 weeks.
Advantages of laparoscopy
Appendicitis:
• less pain after surgery;
• much less rare infections;
• returning to normal physical activities in a week;
• Preferably if you are overweight or feminine (allows visualization of ovaries and tubes);
• improved aesthetics.
Cholecystitis:
• pain after surgery much reduced; very few dressings; infusions only on day of surgery;
• more rare postoperative infections;
• returning to normal physical activities in a week;
• great advantage over overweight;
• improved aesthetics
Colorectal cancer
• less pain after surgery;
• much less rare infections;
• quick return to regular physical activities;
• the same oncological and life outcomes with classical surgery
Hernia
• less pain after surgery
• More rare infections
• returning to a regular weekly physical activity
• Preferable if you already have a hernia operation and hernia has recurred
